By creating an account on Artemis ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("User," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Artemis is strictly an adult-only platform. You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to register for or use the App. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We verify age during registration and reserve the right to terminate accounts that do not meet this criterion.
You are solely responsible for the content, information, messages, photos, and tags ("Content") that you upload, publish, or display on Artemis. You retain ownership of your Content. However, by uploading Content to Artemis, you grant us a worldwide, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free right and license to host, store, use, copy, display, reproduce, and distribute your Content for the purpose of operating, developing, and improving the Service.
Artemis is designed as a safe space for the LGBTQ+, queer, kink, and alternative communities. We encourage open, honest, and consensual expression of your identity, relationship styles, and desires. However, this expression must remain consensual, respectful, and strictly compliant with the law and our platform rules.
You agree that you will not post, upload, or transmit any Content or engage in any behavior that:
Artemis utilizes a combination of automated systems and human moderators to monitor compliance with these Terms. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without notice, to review, hide, or permanently delete any Content that violates these Terms.
You understand that Artemis does not conduct criminal background checks on its users or otherwise inquire into the background of its users. Artemis makes no representations or warranties as to the conduct, identity, intentions, legitimacy, or veracity of users.
Artemis reserves the right to conduct—and you hereby authorize Artemis to conduct—any criminal background check or other screenings (such as sex offender register searches) at any time using available public records, but we are under no obligation to do so.
You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. You agree to take reasonable precautions in all interactions with other users, particularly if you decide to communicate off the platform or meet in person. You understand that Artemis makes no guarantees, either express or implied, regarding your compatibility with individuals you meet through the service.
In no event shall Artemis, its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, or agents be liable for any damages whatsoever, whether direct, indirect, general, special, compensatory, consequential, and/or incidental, arising out of or relating to the conduct of you or anyone else in connection with the use of the service, including without limitation, bodily injury, emotional distress, identity theft, and/or any other damages resulting from communications or meetings with other registered users of this service.
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court and to have your claim heard by a jury.
By using Artemis, you and we agree that any and all disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or relating to these terms, the service, or our privacy policy shall be submitted to and resolved exclusively by binding arbitration, rather than in court. This agreement to arbitrate is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA).
You and Artemis agree that each may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding.
The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Any arbitration hearings will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, or through a mutually agreed-upon video conferencing platform.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring an individual action in a small claims court, or seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent intellectual property infringement.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the State of Georgia.
You have the right to opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of creating your account.

Artemis Dating maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and the exploitation of minors. Our platform is strictly for users 18 years of age and older.
We actively monitor our platform to prevent minors from accessing the service. Any account discovered to belong to a minor, or any user attempting to solicit a minor, will be immediately and permanently banned.
Users are heavily encouraged to report any suspicious behavior, including suspected underage users or grooming behavior, using our in-app "Report" function. Our moderation team reviews all reports. Users who receive multiple reports are automatically banned from the platform.
In compliance with international child safety laws, Artemis Dating will preserve evidence and report any instances of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) to the relevant regional and national authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and will fully cooperate with law enforcement investigations.

Artemis ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.
To provide our core matchmaking services, Artemis allows you to voluntarily add custom tags to your profile regarding your sexual orientation, gender identity, relationship style (e.g., Ethical Non-Monogamy), and specific kink or fetish preferences ("Sensitive Data"). By selecting these tags, you provide explicit, opt-in consent for Artemis to process this Sensitive Data.
You may revoke your consent at any time by removing specific tags from your profile or deleting your account entirely. Once a custom tag is removed, it is queued for permanent deletion from our active matchmaking databases.
Your Sensitive Data is used exclusively for internal matchmaking and community safety. Artemis will never sell your Sensitive Data. We do not use your sexual orientation, gender identity, or kink preferences to serve targeted third-party advertising.
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures. Your profile data and custom tags are stored securely utilizing Google Firebase infrastructure. Data is encrypted both in transit (via HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
Artemis requires valid legal process (such as a subpoena or court order) before disclosing user data to law enforcement. We will strictly construe all data requests and will only provide the specific data legally compelled.
Artemis retains your personal information only for as long as you maintain an active account, or as long as is necessary to provide the Service.
You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and associated data at any time. You can initiate this process In-App or via Web Request, which does not require you to have the app currently installed.
When you request account deletion, your profile, photos, and custom database tags are immediately decoupled. Due to the nature of cloud hosting and encrypted backups, it may take up to 30 days for your personal information to be completely purged from all internal systems and backup servers.
If your account is suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service, we will retain necessary identifiers to prevent you from bypassing the ban. We may also retain specific data if it is necessary to comply with valid legal obligations or resolve ongoing disputes.
If you have not logged into the Service for a continuous period of two (2) years, we will treat your account as inactive and automatically initiate the deletion process described above.
Artemis is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we discover that a child under 18 has created an account, we will immediately terminate the account and delete all associated data. If you believe a minor is using the App, please contact us immediately.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, request deletion, and opt out of the "sale" of personal information (we do not sell personal data).
